An introduction to the field
Medicine in Georgia is offered as a long one-cycle degree that leads to a medical doctor qualification. Programs are taught in English and combine pre-clinical study with clinical training in teaching hospitals.
What you study
Anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and other basic sciences in the early years, followed by clinical subjects and supervised clinical practice.
Before you apply
Entry requirements
A completed secondary school qualification with results in relevant science subjects, passport, a motivation letter and a university interview or assessment.
English interview or optional certificate
An English certificate such as IELTS is optional. If you do not have one, the university holds a short video interview to confirm your English level.
This is guidance for the field. Exact requirements depend on the university, degree level and program; a match is not an admission decision.
